Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg
In Grünheide (Mark) in Brandenburg, the production of e-cars by the US car company Tesla has begun.
According to Tesla, a production capacity of up to 500,000 vehicles is planned in expansion stage 1. In addition to the final production of the Tesla Model Y, a foundry, paint shop, plastics processing, seat production and battery production are also planned on the site. A plant for the treatment of waste water is also planned. Like the Tesla factory in California, the production hall in Brandenburg will also have a solar roof. On an information website, the Tesla company affirms that it wants to strengthen the "natural environment in the vicinity of the factory and in the entire federal state of Brandenburg". According to the company's plans, several thousand new jobs will be created.
Tesla has already published many job offers online for the Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg. Among others, construction managers, recruiters, architects, production managers ... are being sought.
