Information for training companies
Training is the key to securing the next generation of skilled labour and a central issue for the future.
Many companies in Brandenburg are already highly committed to training apprentices and are thus investing in the future. For companies that are not yet providing training or have questions about this, the most important information on training is summarised on the employment agency website www.arbeitsagentur.de/unternehmen/ausbilden/informationen-zur-ausbildung.
However, sometimes companies lack the prerequisites to be able to provide training or there are difficulties during training. In these cases, the following two programmes provide support:

Collaborative training is a training co-operation between a company and a collaborative partner (e.g. another company or a training provider). This means that companies that cannot offer all of the training content themselves can also provide training. The aim of the co-operation is for parts of the training content, further qualification and examination preparation measures to be taken over by alliance partners and outsourced by the company providing the training. This enables companies to train young people even if they are unable to offer all of the training content for the respective training requirements.
The state of Brandenburg supports collaborative training as part of the programme for qualified training in the collaborative system (PAV) with funds from the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+). The funding supports the realisation of training phases, additional qualifications or examination preparation with a network partner.
All training companies based in the state of Brandenburg are eligible for funding. In order to receive funding for the relevant training phases, the company concludes a contract for the training phase with a network partner.
Service centres for collaborative training have also been set up as part of the PAV funding programme to help publicise and arrange collaborative training opportunities. They are available to answer questions and provide advice free of charge. Further information on the services offered by the service centres for collaborative training and contact details can be found at

The ‘Assisted Training Brandenburg’ programme supports young people and companies before and during training with the aim of helping to initiate training or stabilise existing training relationships.
With its time flexibility and broad access for young people, the support programme of the state of Brandenburg is an important addition to the assisted training offered by the employment agencies and job centres in accordance with SGB III.
Companies can benefit from the Assisted Training Brandenburg programme by allowing their trainees to take advantage of the support opportunities. The programmes for young people are varied (from teaching practical life skills and language and specialist knowledge to socio-educational support) and are tailored to individual needs.

Entry into the programme is variable for the young people and can therefore start during preparation for training (Phase I) or during training (Phase II). The prerequisites for participation are residence in Brandenburg, at least foreseeable readiness for training and an existing interest in training.
