It is a matter of course for us to handle your personal data responsibly. In the following, we would like to explain to you how we use your personal data, for what purposes and in what way we process this data and what rights you are entitled to.
Data protection officer
If you have any questions about data protection, you are welcome to contact the WFBB's data protection officer at the e-mail address datenschutzbeauftrager@wfbb.de or by post with the addition of "Data Protection Officer".
Personal data
If you visit our website for information purposes only, we automatically process certain information in so-called log files, such as your IP address. This is necessary for the website to function properly and to pursue our legitimate interest in maintaining the stability and security of the website. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. b and f DS-GVO. Error log files are deleted every 7 days and access log files every 14 days.
We only process personal data such as your name, postal address, e-mail address or other contact details if you have entered them on the website and transmitted them to us and if such processing is legally permitted or covered by your consent.
The use of certain services on our website, such as registration forms, enquiries, online applications or registration for our newsletter, makes it necessary to collect, process and use personal data. In this case, we take the requirement of data minimisation seriously. For each of these services, we inform you at the appropriate place on our website of the purpose for which we process the personal data.
If you register for the WFBB newsletter, we will process the data you provide with your express consent on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. a DS-GVO in order to send you our newsletter. The provision of your e-mail address is required, all other information is voluntary. The revocation of your consent and thus the unsubscription from the newsletter is of course possible at any time with effect for the future. Please contact us by e-mail or post or click on the link in our newsletter. You can find more information about the sending of newsletters by us below.
The personal data collected in the course of using our website will not be passed on to third parties or transferred in any other way unless we are legally entitled or obliged to do so (e.g. for law enforcement purposes) or you have given us your consent to do so.
If you contact us with an enquiry, we will process your name and email address solely for the purpose of processing your enquiry and contacting you in this regard. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(b) DSGVO. All other information is voluntary and will only be processed on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a DSGVO.
External service providers that we use to operate the website or to handle certain services on our website process personal data exclusively on our behalf and are contractually obliged to comply with the applicable legal provisions on data protection and data security. They are not considered third parties in the sense of data protection law. We are supported in the implementation of our website by Labor3 Kommunikation + Design Wolfgang Schneider e.K. and Host Europe GmbH.
We host the contents of our website with the following provider: Host Europe. The provider is Host Europe GmbH, Hansestraße 111, 51149, Cologne (hereinafter Host Europe). When you visit our website, Host Europe collects various log files including your IP addresses. For details, please refer to Host Europe's privacy policy: www.hosteurope.de/AGB/Datenschutzerklaerung/.
The use of Host Europe is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. We have a legitimate interest in ensuring that our website is presented as reliably as possible. If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user's terminal device (e.g. for device fingerprinting) as defined by the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.
SSL or TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Our Internet pages use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small data packets and do not cause any damage to your end device. They are stored either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your end device. Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them yourself or until they are automatically deleted by your web browser. Cookies can originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services of third-party companies within websites (e.g. cookies for processing payment services). You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited. You can find out which cookies and services are used on this website and further information in this data protection declaration.
Consent with Cookiefirst
Our website uses the consent technology of Cookiefirst to obtain your consent to the storage of certain cookies on your end device or to the use of certain technologies and to document this in a data protection compliant manner. The provider of this technology is Digital Data Solutions B.V. (CookieFirst). Plantage Middenlaan 42a, 1018DH, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. When you enter our website, a connection is established to the servers of Cookiefirst in order to obtain your consent and other declarations regarding the use of cookies. Cookiefirst then stores a cookie in your browser in order to be able to allocate the consents given to you or their revocation. The data collected in this way is stored for 12 months. Mandatory legal storage obligations remain unaffected. Cookiefirst is used to obtain the legally required consent for the use of cookies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c DSGVO.
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you have provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent. The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. b DSGVO if your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO) if this has been requested; the consent can be revoked at any time.
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after we have completed processing your enquiry). Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.
This website uses the open source web analysis service Matomo. With the help of Matomo, we are able to collect and analyse data on the use of our website by website visitors. This enables us to find out, among other things, when which page views were made and from which region they came. We also collect various log files (e.g. IP address, referrer, browsers and operating systems used) and can measure whether our website visitors perform certain actions (e.g. clicks etc.). The use of this analysis tool is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising. If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user's terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) as defined by the TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time.
IP anonymisation
We use IP anonymisation for the analysis with Matomo. This means that your IP address is shortened before analysis so that it can no longer be clearly assigned to you.
Hosting
We host Matomo exclusively on our own servers so that all analysis data remains with us and is not passed on.
Google Maps
This website uses the Google Maps API, a map service from Google, to display an interactive map. By using Google Maps, information about your use of this website (including your IP address) may be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account via which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly assigned to your account. If you do not want your data to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or designing its website in line with requirements. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, and you must contact Google to exercise this right. An adequate level of protection of your data in the USA is ensured by the fact that Google is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield.
Data processing by Google Maps on our website is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f DS-GVO. By using Google Maps, we pursue our legitimate interest in enhancing your user experience and optimising our website.
You can find more detailed information on data processing by Google in Google's data protection information, which you can access at www.google.com/privacypolicy.html.
You have the option of deactivating the Google Maps service in a simple manner and thus preventing the transfer of data to Google: To do so, deactivate JavaScript in your browser. Please note, however, that you will not be able to use the map display in this case.
Google YouTube
We link to video content hosted on YouTube on our websites. YouTube uses cookies for analysis purposes and to improve the display of embedded videos. For analysis purposes, YouTube stores, for example, statistics of the YouTube videos that the user has seen by means of a uniquely assigned identification number. YouTube also uses cookies to collect data on the interaction of visitors with the video content of the website. This data is used to make the website's video content more relevant to the visitor and to store user preferences when retrieving a YouTube video integrated on other websites.
The legal basis for the setting of cookies and other trackers and the associated data processing is your consent in accordance with Section 25 (1) sentence 1 TTDSG. For any subsequent further processing of personal data that may take place, the consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit a DSGVO is the legal basis. Consent is obtained in bundled form in the Consent Management Tool under "Your data protection settings" at the top of this page.
The storage of the above-mentioned data and cookies set in your browser and the associated data processing will only take place if you have given your voluntary and revocable consent to this. The revocation of consent no longer affects the legality of the access or storage that took place until the revocation.
It cannot be ruled out that Google Ireland will transmit the information processed by you to a server of Google LLC., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, and that this information will be processed there. However, the general level of data protection in the USA is not the same as that in the European Union. It also cannot be ruled out that authorities in the USA or in other countries may access your data.
For more information on data processing by Google, please refer to Google's privacy policy, which can be found at policies.google.com/privacy.
Vimeo without tracking (Do-Not-Track)
This website uses plugins from the video portal Vimeo. The provider is Vimeo Inc, 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA. When you visit one of our pages equipped with Vimeo videos, a connection to the Vimeo servers is established. This tells the Vimeo server which of our pages you have visited. Vimeo also obtains your IP address. However, we have set Vimeo in such a way that Vimeo will not track your user activities and will not set any cookies. The use of Vimeo is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Insofar as a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO; the consent can be revoked at any time.
Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission as well as, according to
Vimeo's statement on "legitimate business interests". Details can be found here:
vimeo.com/privacy. Further information on the handling of user data can be found in Vimeo's privacy policy at: vimeo.com/privacy.
We use up-to-date technical and organisational measures to secure our website and other systems against loss, destruction, access, modification or distribution of your data by unauthorised persons. You should always keep your access information confidential and close the browser window when you have finished communicating with us, especially if you share a computer with others.
Your information transmitted to us via our website is encrypted during electronic transmission and always treated as strictly confidential.
Deletion and storage periods
Our aim is to process your personal data only to the minimum extent possible. We will only store your personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was originally collected and, if applicable, for as long as required by law.
Your rights
You have the following data protection rights, depending on the circumstances of the specific case:
To request access to and/or copies of your personal data. This includes information about the purpose of the use, the category of data used, its recipients and persons authorised to access it and, if possible, the planned duration of data storage or, if this is not possible, the criteria for determining this duration.
request the rectification, erasure or restriction of the processing of your personal data insofar as its use is unlawful under data protection law, in particular because (1) the data is incomplete or inaccurate, (2) it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, (3) the consent on which the processing was based has been withdrawn, or (4) you have successfully exercised a right to object to data processing. In cases where the data is processed by third parties, we will forward your requests for rectification, erasure or restriction of processing to those third parties, unless this proves impossible or involves a disproportionate effort.
refuse consent or - without affecting the lawfulness of the data processing carried out prior to revocation - revoke your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time.
Not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.
To request the personal data concerning you that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transfer this data to another controller without hindrance from us. You may also have the right to request that we transfer the personal data directly to another controller, where technically feasible.
Take legal action or contact the relevant supervisory authorities if you believe that your rights have been infringed as a result of the processing of your personal data not complying with data protection law.
In addition, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time, provided that we are processing your personal data in pursuit of our legitimate interests and there are grounds based on your particular situation.
You may (1) exercise the above rights or (2) ask questions or (3) lodge a complaint about our processing of your personal data by contacting us as described above.
