Vocational training in the dual system with a state-recognised qualification is the traditional pathway into the profession. The training guideline "Programme for Qualified Training in the Combined System" promotes measures that serve to impart additional qualifications and to conduct subject-specific courses to prepare for examinations on the one hand and to strengthen the willingness to provide training on the other. Companies are supported in improving their training competences and the quality of their training.

The Brandenburg Demographic Calculator is a freely accessible information platform for analysing company age structures. The calculator gives companies the opportunity to analyse their own age structures in comparison to state-wide and industry-specific comparative figures. In addition, the demographic calculator clearly illustrates the age-related pension retirements to be expected by the respective company and thus the replacement requirements that will arise.
