"Matching Day" recruitment event

Are you looking for a way to connect directly with the next generation of academics in Brandenburg?

In addition to traditional methods such as job advertisements and careers fairs, we work in partnership with the universities in Brandenburg and offer the Digital Matching Day as a further option.

1 July 2026, 9.00 am to 6.00 pm | “It’s a Match” – Matching Day for Potsdam’s universities

Under the slogan “It’s a Match!”, the major Matching Day organised by Potsdam’s higher education institutions is entering its eighth edition in the summer semester of 2026. We are offering regional employers the opportunity to meet students, graduates, PhD candidates and PhD holders from all disciplines at our universities, and to showcase their organisations at the University of Potsdam, the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences (FHP) and the Konrad Wolf Film University Babelsberg. Are you looking for

  • talented interns,
  • committed working students, early-career professionals or managers,
  • students looking for topics for their Bachelor’s or Master’s theses,
  • researchers for your R&D departments,

then Matching Day is exactly what you’re looking for. Get to know the young talent from Potsdam’s universities in 20-minute online interviews, attract them to your company or organisation, and boost your visibility in the region at the same time.

When and where is Matching Day taking place?

Matching Day will take place on 1 July 2026 from 09:00 to 18:00 via the b2match event platform (online).

Career Talks

Is your organisation looking for graduates? Do you help students enter the labour market as part of your work at a university or research institution?

We show the next generation of academics at Brandenburg’s universities and research institutions that Brandenburg has more to offer than just recreation and leisure activities on its 3,000 lakes. Through sector-specific keynote talks, we provide an overview of the diversity of industries and companies in the state and highlight various career prospects.

The Career Talks last between one and a half and two hours and, depending on the focus and audience, are complemented by one or two company representatives. We would be delighted to welcome you as a partner at one of our upcoming events, so that you can present your company directly. Simply get in touch!

"Docs on Tour" - Academic recruitment of skilled workers in your region.

The Wirtschaftsförderung Land Brandenburg GmbH (WFBB) supports young academics in their career entry into the Brandenburg economy. Within the framework of organised company visits, they are given the opportunity to get to know companies in the state of Brandenburg that are interesting for their field of study, as well as different occupational fields and professional development opportunities in the region.

"Students on Tour" - Getting to know the business world

Together with regional partners, the WFBB offers students the opportunity to get to know the Brandenburg economy. On the one hand, the companies can present themselves to the Brandenburg students as future employers with their fields of work, departments and production facilities, and on the other hand, the prospective graduates are given the opportunity to find out about internships, dissertations and entry-level opportunities from the potential employers. In addition, the regions will be presented as a liveable place to work and live during the tours.

Due to the current health situation, these events are not currently offered.
