With around 1,000 staff, the Elbe-Elster Klinikum is the largest employer in the Elbe-Elster district and a key healthcare provider in the region. The three sites in Elsterwerda, Finsterwalde and Herzberg offer patients high-quality primary care with a total of 444 hospital beds.

In the training of young nursing staff, healthcare assistants and surgical technicians (m/f/d), the Elbe-Elster Klinikum collaborates, for example, with the medical school at the Carl-Thiem Klinikum, the Heimarer Schulen in Torgau and the German Red Cross (DRK) in Senftenberg to ensure high-quality training and proximity to trainees’ homes.
