A tradition dating back to 1903 and innovation for the future of local public transport
Cottbusverkehr GmbH is a local authority-owned company that plays a key role in shaping local public transport in the Cottbus and Spree-Neiße region. In addition to scheduled services, the company operates the Cottbus Transport Service and its subsidiary, Spree-Neiße Cottbusverkehr. At its customer centre, the company offers a wide range of services, including the sale of stamps, Deutschlandtickets, travel tickets, annual passes, timetables and souvenirs. It also provides ticket advice for long-distance travel and sells RPV stamps.

The company’s history dates back to 1903, when the first trams began operating in Cottbus. Since then, Cottbusverkehr has continued to develop and plans to introduce new, more modern trams into the transport network by 2025. Plans are also in place to introduce hydrogen-powered buses and build hydrogen refuelling stations.
